Retrospective July 2025
The slide to the end of the year starts here
July has had a lot going on in my world. I've sold a lens to make some room for some new stuff down the road, Picked up a printer in the Amazon Prime day sales, did some video editing for a client. Like I said, lots going on.
Dipping my toe into printing
During the Prime Day sales I picked up an Epson XP-15000. I bought it in partnership with my wife so that we can print both my photo work for sale as well as printing her incredible artworks she has been doing. It has so far been a very fun rabbit hole to go down and it doesn’t look like slowing down.
On our last stop in Picton we stopped in at De Nada Coffee. We had never been there before but it is now the absolute place to go in my opinion if you’re ever in Picton. I had a shaken espresso which was one of the nicest coffee’s I have had in a long time.
Video edit for client
I have been wanting to add video editing as an extension to my offerings for InsideFramelines, This month I did a pickup job for a client I am hoping to work a lot more in the future. I was really happy with the edit I produced and receiving the “perfect, no edits” message was the cherry on the cake.
If you have a video project you want to work in and want to chat feel free to reach out on Instagram or through the website.
Captured my interest
Rediscover Your Photography Mojo and Learn to Print with Fotospeed - Going down the print rabbit hole has been so interesting and Fotospeed have a great YouTube channel and blog with lots of resources as well.
Osmo Pocket 3 keeps selling - I bought an Osmo Pocket 3 when Bronte was born and it has been one of my best gear purchases I think of all time. It has been fantastic for just grabbing small clips of day to day life, my wife has used it for making some short form videos and my brother instantly bought one before he went traveling for 6 months. It’s no wonder it just keeps selling well, I made this video almost entirely with the Osmo Pocket 3.

That wraps up July
As we head into August this is really where the rollercoaster ride begins, the calendar is filled with birthdays and anniversaries leading us all the way up to Christmas and New year so I expect the newsletter to be a bit busier from now.
Bye for now,
